Additions for ISO management system standards
Please note: additions regarding climate change for ISO management system standards
Sign up now for the informative webinar
ISO will publish amendments, in other words 'additions', for all management system standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001, on February 23, 2024. The ISO organization is committed to contributing to the mitigation of the consequences of climate change through international standards.
Organizations applying the management system standards will need to assess whether climate change is an issue impacting the objectives of their management system and whether they need to take action on it.
What does this mean for you?
With the introduction of the amendment, climate change becomes a mandatory focal point in the context analysis. The current versions of the management system standards will not be modified by the amendment. Therefore, the publication of the amendment will not impact existing certificates. Certificate holders are expected to have a year to make any necessary adjustments to their management systems.
